Cruise, coach and rail services can be booked online or directly with our reservations staff via phone or email. Children fares apply to children ages 2-11. Infants under the age of 2 travel free and must be included on the reservation request per Coast Guard vessel manifest requirements.

The 26 Glacier Cruise and Glacier Quest Cruise can be booked as "cruise only" if you have your own car or are using a rental car. Please allow 1.5 hours to travel between Anchorage and Whittier or 45 minutes to travel between Girdwood and Whittier.
If you need transporation between Anchorage or Girdwood and Whittier, we can assist you with coach service or rail service, or a combination of both modes of travel if you prefer.

Coach Service: Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic views as you depart Anchorage and travel along the Seward Highway, designated one of North America's Scenic Byways. To the west, views of Cook Inlet and Turnagain Arm boast a dramatic tide change, up to 24 feet. To the east, towering mountains reveal the effects of winter avalanches, spring waterfalls, and at times, Dall sheep can be spotted on the rocky outcroppings next to the highway. Bring your camera to capture photos of the sights along the way as your driver guide narrates, sharing interesting facts and curious tales about Alaska.

Rail Service: Ride aboard a piece of Alaska's history. The Alaska Railroad was built in 1915 to transport supplies from the port of Seward to interior Alaska. Get a backyard view of Alaska's neighborhoods as you depart Anchorage toward Turnagain Arm where the train travels along the waters edge, allowing for an amazing view of the dramatic tides found in this region of the world. Local guides aboard the train will point out sites along the way.

Cruise Deviation Policy

Phillips Cruises & Tours LLC reserves the right to deviate from the planned cruise route if, in their judgment, they find it is necessary due to weather or any other extraordinary circumstances. Any variation in the cruise route will be executed in the best interest of the passengers in order to maximize their comfort, safety, and enjoyment. If such a deviation is necessary, it will not be reason for refund.

Phillips Cruises & Tours LLC Cancellation and Change Policy

• 8 days or more prior to Date of Service: Full refund less $25.00 fee


• 7 to 2 days prior to Date of Service: Full refund less a 25% cancellation fee


• Less than 2 days, 48 hours, prior to Date of Service: no refund available.

Change Penalties:
All changes to Date of Service will incur a $25.00 fee per reservation, subject to space available for new confirmation. Reservations changed less than 48 hours before the cruise remain non-refundable.

Transportation Change Penalties:
Rail Service cancellations 8 days or more prior to Date of Service will receive a full refund less a $25.00 fee.

Rail Service changes will incur a fee of $25.00 per booking. No changes permitted 7 days prior to travel and tickets are non-refundable.
