Our Fleet

Phillips Cruises and Tours, LLC owns and operates two premium catamarans in Prince William Sound. Due to their dual hull design, these powerful high-speed catamarans are extremely stable and able to smoothly navigate through the narrow fjords and passages on their way to the face of massive glaciers. Operating safely and efficiently provides our guests with a comfortable cruise and our No Seasickness Guarantee assures the nervous cruiser confidence that they will enjoy our cruise without any unpleasant effects

The M/V Klondike Express

The Klondike Express is the largest, fastest and most luxurious catamaran in Alaska, averaging 34 knots while underway. This 137-foot, high-speed catamaran holds 332 passengers on three decks, two of which are enclosed and heated with an inside seat at a table for every passenger on board. Monitors display the route map on both passenger decks making it easy for guests to follow along as we explore Prince William Sound. The M/V Klondike Express is used on the 26 Glacier Cruise, the Sunset Glacier Cruise and for private charter service.

Main Deck:

The main deck has large panoramic windows for guests seated inside to take in the view. Outside, there are several spacious viewing areas. Due to our ability to cruise quickly, the bow doors are generally opened only when the vessel has reduced speed or is stopped for viewing glaciers or wildlife. The aft deck is accessible at any time. The saloon, galley and gift shop are located on the main deck. Four of the seven restrooms on board are located on the main deck.

Second Deck:

Ample seating is strategically arranged to allow all guests a terrific view. The second deck aft also called the Red Deck, is partially sheltered from the wind while we are underway. Three restrooms are located on the second deck.

Third Deck

Designed with spacious outside decks to view the scenery. The wheelhouse, located on the third deck, may be accessed during the cruise with permission from the Captain. We request that no more than four guests enter the wheelhouse at any time and that they limit their visit to a few minutes to allow time for others to step in.

ADA Accessibility

The 26 Glacier Cruise and the Sunset Glacier Cruise utilize the M/V Klondike Express which can easily accommodate most guests who require the use of a wheelchair during the cruise. Please contact us to discuss your special physical requirements in advance of your cruise.

The M/V Glacier Quest

The M/V Glacier Quest is a high-speed catamaran that provides a smooth cruise experience. The main deck and second deck feature a reserved seat at a table for every passenger. Large picture windows provide a terrific view from every seat and spacious outdoor areas are located on each deck for more viewing opportunities. Coast Guard rated to carry 149 passengers, the M/V Glacier Quest is 78' long and cruises at 19 knots on average. Monitors on both decks display our location along the cruise route as we travel into the serenity of Blackstone Bay. The M/V Glacier Quest is used for our Glacier Quest Cruise and evening charter service.

Main Deck:

Seating on the main deck offers upholstered booths with tables facing forward and aft near the windows. In the center of the boat, the seating configuration faces port and starboard with upholstered captains chair style seating and tables. For outside viewing, step out onto the main deck bow. The galley and three restrooms are located on the main deck.

Second Deck:

The second deck offers upholstered booths with tables. With only 26 seats on the second deck, this area works great for small groups. Due to the location of the wheelhouse, the view on the second deck is out the side and back windows, along with quick access to the second deck viewing areas.

Third Deck:

Step up to the third deck and enjoy a large open-air observation deck with exterior bench seating. This deck offers 360’ of spectacular views that allow guests to take in the beauty of the towering mountains and pristine wilderness surrounding us during the cruise.

ADA Accessibility

The Glacier Quest Cruise can accommodate guests with limited mobility who can walk short distances or step over a raised threshold. Please contact us to discuss your special physical requirements in advance of your cruise.
